Week One and Two: Analysing Advertising
In Week One and Two we will learning about the various techniques used by advertising companies. These Techniques are also very common in most persuasive texts such as speeches, Newspaper Editorials and a variety of other media.
We will be learning how to recognise these and we will be analysing some popular campaigns at the moment.

Analysing the Use of Colour in Advertising and Branding.
Find ads in magazines and answer the following questions:
Write in full sentences, responding to at least 2 advertisements.
Create a simple Advertisement and Logo:
In groups of 2 or 3, design a simple advertisement for a product given to you.
Remember that your choice of colours and techniques should consider the audience and impact you want to have on them.

- Who is the audience?
- What colours are being used?
- How are these colours meant to make you feel?

Creating your own Advertising Campaign
When you are creating your advertising campaigns, you are not JUST making something big a funny - You must try and create something that will PERSUADE your target audience to buy your product or believe in your idea. Use the advertising and persuasive techniques we have studied in class.
