Writing your Fantasy Story
By now you should have lots of awesome details planned about your fantasy world, and you should also have a good skeleton of a structure for your plot. You know your characters and you know what they're capable of. So now, show me what you're capable of.
You will have the next two weeks to write a completed hand-written copy, and then a revised edited and published typed copy.

A Midsummer Night's Dream
Week 4-8
Who was William Shakespeare?
Task 1: In groups of 3 or 4, read through your assigned scene together. Try to have specific roles to read and make sure you discuss what is going on while you read. (It's no good reading if you don't try to understand it.)
You can challenge yourselves to read the original text, but if that is too tricky, you can read the modern translation.
Task 2: Once you have read through your assigned scene you must write a scene summary. Try to write at least 4 sentences to explain what was discussed and what happened. You should make sure it is really clear. You will be teaching someone else shortly.
Task 3: Create a Table like the one below on two pages in your workbooks.

Task 4: Go around the room talking to other people from outside of your group and get them to share their scene summary with you.
Try not to copy their summary word for word. Your new summary should only be about 2 sentences long. Try to put it into your own words if you can.
By the end of this task you should have a brief summary of most of the scenes.
